Getting Your Mounts Back.

We Strongly recommend picking your bird mounts up in person, however if that is not possible birds mounted on dirftwood, rocks and some bases can be shipped in a box. Cost for these boxes start at $150.00 per box and go up form there.

Payment for shipping and handling must be paid prior to mounts being sent.

Shipping Instructions

If you would like to send us birds, please follow these procedures:

A. Please COMPLETELY fill out a bird tag for each bird, and an order form to send with your specimens. It is important that these forms be filled out accurately and completely. Place these documents in a ziplock bag to keep them dry and in the box or cooler with the birds.

B. Contact us prior to sending your specimens so we can ensure we will be available to accept your birds. Shipping on Mondays is the most desirable if at all possible.

C. Remove bird from freezer and insulate with 3-4 inches of newspaper or insulation (leave bird in plastic bag). Purchase a styrofoam cooler, and pack bird(s) inside with more newspapers or insulation. Fit cooler into a cardboard box and tape shut. The outside of the box should be labeled in one of the corners stating contents. Example; 3 Mallard drakes 1 Pintail drake.

D. Make sure each bird contained in the shipment has its own "ID" tag. An index card can be used for this purpose. USFWS REQUIRES THIS FOR POSSESSION AND SHIPMENT ACROSS STATE LINES. This info should include your name, the date, your address, phone #,the species of the bird, license number, date collected, and location collected as well as your signature.

E. We prefer shipment made via UPS, or FED-EX.  We would prefer you NOT send birds via US Post Office. 2 day shipping is recommended depending on your location nationally. Larger coolers should be used for multiple birds.
